Pattern: Corrine’s Lone Star
Supplies:
Basic sewing supplies:
Small Mat (rotating mat is highly recommended)
Rotary Cutter with new blade
Small trimming ruler like the Creative Grid 2 ½ or 3 ½ by 12”
3 ½” square
Aurifil Thread
Glass head pins
Scissors
Seam Ripper
Quick Quarter ruler
Marking pencil (sew line/ Fons and Porter)
Flannel backed table cloth/or design wall of some sort
Sewing Machine
Fabric Requirements:
A- ½ yd
B- ½ yd
C- ½ yd
D- 1 yard
E- ½ yard
F-¼ yard or fat quarter
G- ¼ yard or fat quarter
Background- 2 ½ yd
Refer to Diagram A for fabric placement, (Coloring your diagram will help with color choice).

Pre- work: (before class)
BACK GROUND FABRIC
Cut two 12 ½” strips
Sub cut into four 12 ½” squares
Set aside and label as corners
Cut four 3 ½” strips
Sub- cut:
Four 3 ½”x 6 ½” rectangles
Four 3 ½”x 12 ½” rectangles
Four 3 ½”x 18 ½” rectangles
Cut one 8 ¼” strip
Sub-cut
Four 8 ¼” squares
Inner border- cut five 2 ½” strips
Outer Border- cut six 4 ½” strips
STAR FABRIC
Label each fabric according to placement (see diagram A in your pattern)
A, B, C, D, E, F, G (Starting with A as the star point, and G the center)
Cut:
A- Two 8 ¼” squares
B- Four 8 ¼” squares
C- Six 8 ¼” squares
D- Seven 8 ¼” squares and four 3 ½” squares
E- Five 8 ¼” squares and four 3 ½” squares
F- Three 8 ¼” squares and four 3 ½” squares
G- One 8 ¼” squares and four 3 ½” squares
* From the left over fabrics cut enough 2 ½” x 3” rectangles for 2nd border. *
*Not necessary to have for class
