Machine Quilting- Beginners Class

 

 

IMPORTANT: To get the most out of the class you must have  a Walking Foot (sometimes called an Even Feed foot) and a Free Motion Quilting Foot (sometimes called a darning foot, it has a circle at the bottom) for your machine.

 

2-  approximately 18" squares of good quality muslin (1/2 yard will do it)

1- approximately 18" squares of cotton batting

 

Thread to match muslin (Metter 50wt is a good choice or Aurofil)

Size 70/10 or 80/12 Sewing Machine Needles (I prefer Microtex Sharp but Universals are fine too)

 

Blue Water Soluble Pen

Size 0 safety pins 

Machine quilting gloves (if you have them)

 

sewing machine--clean and ready to go

foot control

cords

small scissors

small ruler (I like the 2 1/2" x 12 1/2")
