Scrapology – Paper Pieced Pineapple

Supplies:

          Book: Paper Piecing by Alex Anderson

          Sewing machine, cleaned & ready to sew  

          Neutral thread

          Add-A-Eight  OR  Add-A-Quarter Ruler

          Small rotary cutter & mat

          Straight pins

          Pencil & Paper for notes

Fabrics:

          Color….Your choice

          Two color blocks

                    (example: red & white) 8 to 10 fat qtr’s will do for class

          Cut…. 1 ½” strips

                     2” squares for block centers in dark fabric

                     4” squares for corners in dark fabric, cut half on diagonal

          Scrappy Blocks

                    The MORE fabric you have is better

           Cut…. 1 ½”  strips of dark & light

                      2” squares for block centers in dark fabric

                      4” square for corners in dark fabric, cut in half on diagonal

We will be learning a technique in class by doing 1 or 2 blocks.
