FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

*Use lots of variety of fabrics – this will create a more interesting quilt block

Assorted light green prints (blocks)                 1-1/2  to  2 yds.                      Total

Assorted red prints (blocks)                           2-1/4  to  2-3/4 yds.               Total

Assorted brown prints (blocks)                           2-1/4  to  2-3/4 yds.                 Total

Assorted blue prints (blocks)                           1-1/2  to  2 yds.               Total

Blue print (inner border)                                     3/4  yd.

Brown print (outer border, binding)                 3-1/2 yds.

   (Cut on the lengthwise grain with mitered corners)

Backing (piece lengthwise)                       5-1-2 yds.

Pineapple Rule acrylic ruler

Sewing machine in good working order

Microtex Sharp machine needle – If you use Aurifil thread you can use size 70.

Neutral thread – I LOVE Aurifil thread.  50 weight, long staple Egyptian fibers

Cutting mat – Medium size 18x24 is perfect.  Anything smaller will be a problem             with cutting

PREPARATION FOR CLASS

You will be making 1 (one) block in class.  You need to have the following strips cut before class:

          Cut one strip from each color 1-5/8” wide

          Cut one square from a green that is 2-1/8” X 2-1/8”

          Cut 2 brown rectangles that measure 4” X 5”

          Cut 2 red rectangles that measure 4” X 5”
