Coffin Flower Pillow

Come make this spooky cute Halloween pillow using the art of English Paper Piecing (EPP)! In this beginner friendly class, instructor Kristalyn Thurncock will guide you through cutting fabric, gluing to papers, and hand stitching the pieces together to form your unique coffin flower. You’ll have plenty of time to start — or even finish — the flower portion of your pillow during class.

You’ll also receive instructions for completing your project at home with appliqué to your pillow backing fabric.  

Class Supplies

24-piece pack of Coffin 3-13/16” paper pieces

A variety of fabrics of your choice for the 18 coffins; small pieces to cover the paper template will work fine! 

Hand sewing needles (I like Straw Milliners but use what you are comfortable with)

Coordinating thread (use the weight you are most comfortable with for hand sewing. I prefer 60-100 wt polyester)

Add-A-Quarter Ruler - 3/8” or 1/4”, around 6” long

Marking pen or pencil

Sewline Fabric Glue Pen

Small Scissors

Any other basic sewing supplies you desire

2/3-yard fabric for the pillow

Optional supplies; good to have but not required

Needle threader

Wonder clips or SewTites

Thread Magic, Beeswax or other thread conditioner 

Thimble

**English Paper Piecing is done by hand so you will not need a sewing machine for this class**

No preparation needed prior to class; we will start from the very beginning all together in class!
