"I have been to Hawaii many times and have always been impressed with traditional Hawaiian quilts. The are made using applique, most often in vivid colors on a white background. The art style is radial symmetric patterns with unique hand picked stitches. No two quilts are the same, which makes them truly beautiful. I wanted to take inspiration from those quilts and create our Hawaiian Quilts collection that uses 1 design that is stitched 4 times and rotated to create a 4 block symmetrical design. Finished 4-block quilts can be then stitched into a pillow, or multiples can be stitched together to form a larger project. The designs all use applique with a bold stitch around it for a beautiful end result."
